Still need to fettle the wiper mechanism a little, but I've got the washer bottle installed. It's not got a great lot of capacity, but I have a plan for that in time.
The washer jets were a bit of a pain, though. I planned on using the 'original' jets (they're not original per-se, but they were in the truck when I got it, so...) but they seem to use a much smaller diameter pipe than was supplied with the kit. No worries, thought I, I'll fit the modern ones it's only a case of drilling the hole out bigger.
Well, yes, but also no; because the modern ones absolutely cannot achieve the angle needed to wash the windscreen, they're too close, there's just no adjustment left and they're just happily jet-washing the window-frame. Bum-hats! So I returned to the old kit ones, which only needed a little adjustment to get the spray where I wanted it; oh, and the addition of a washer, since I drilled the hole in the truck out bigger.
But where did that leave me with the pipe? ...I went rummaging and found my selection box of O-clips, and used the smallest size to squish the pipe down so it was a good, snug fit on the barb of the washer jet.
...should've just done that to begin with, honestly.
