"Ugh" about sums it up.
Haven't updated this in ages; running on a severe lack of arsed. In training as a light-vehicle mechanic -- which means having to be up at 0500H M-Th so I can spend 2 hours on a bus to the training centre.
Supposed to finish there with a Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance on the 27th of April. We shall see. After that, I'm not sure what I'll do; but the general idea is that I find a work placement with a garage, and do the Level 3 qualification on day-release. Again, we shall see.
Also doing driving lessons, every Friday, so hopefully I shouldn't be relying on the bus for too long after I finish at the centre. (I would just like to note that the two fucking hour bus journey is theoretically 45 minutes in a car; possibly a little longer, depending on traffic, but it involves less waiting in the cold, and much less sharing of a freezing cold bus with someone who smells like a public toilet. Ugh.)
I'd like to be driving before then, but since I can't pull money out of my arse, I can't afford to take the tests, and get/insure a vehicle for quite a while.
None of my projects have gone anywhere; most of them due to a severe case of "What's the point?". Others due to, again, my inability to pull money out of my arse; or a lack of time.
(The blog code needs to be burnt down and rebuilt in a better way; but I don't have the time to start prodding at it, nor the energy to try figure out how to do it in a way that doesn't make me instantly want to give up.
I'll probably just replace it with something simpler, at some point, if I can be bothered.)
